about their lifestyles and to provide references. This helps both of us to determine if a Shiba really is the right dog for you.

Have you been drawn here because of the web cam of the Shiba Puppies?                                                If so, you need to research the Breed before you jump into buying one. Shibas do not fit into every person’s lifestyle. In fact, it takes a very select type of personality to successfully integrate a Shiba into one’s family. Shibas are a very primitive breed of dog, and you will notice this especially the first time they proudly bring you a dead snake. They are very intelligent, but they can be a major challenge to work with because of that intelligence. They begin challenging you for dominance the moment you bring them through the door, and you darn well better hope that they understand that YOU are the pack leader right from the start. You need to research the Breed fully before you even think of bringing one of these guys into your house. Although they are not a hyper dog, they have spells of energy that would put the “Energizer Bunny” to shame.
